This document introduces S146, an improved XAREC™ grade designed for insert-component applications with significantly enhanced thermal shock resistance.

The document shows that S146 significantly improves thermal shock resistance versus S136, while also providing higher TD strength, lower TD shrinkage, improved shrinkage anisotropy, better flowability, and strength retention after long-term thermal aging. It is positioned as a design-oriented material proposal for motor terminals, busbar-related parts, and other insert applications where thermal expansion mismatch with metal and repeated temperature cycling are critical issues.
